Top 10 Reasons Why I Love Coron
POSTED AT 03:26 PM
Coron is situated at the Northern Part of Palawan. You can travel by Plane from Manila to Busuanga Airport or by Ferry Boat. It was one of my most awaited Trip for the year. As Early as July, we already booked our Tickets. Yes. Excited Much.
I'm doing this in no particular order. I'm just writing what pops on my dizzy head. HAHA.
Mommita

Your ever dashing Mommy in Coron. Staying at her lodge is like you never left home.
She took care of all we need. We didn't worry about anything. All we had to do was ENJOY.
I'm already missing Mommita.

Tito Lito's Cooking and Kwentos
The best cook! SUPERB Foods, from breakfast to dinner. We didn't have the chance to pose with the Master Cook but let me share some of the tasty food he served during our trip.

BIG BIG BUTTERED GARLIC SHRIMP!

CRABS!

TASTY LOBSTER. YUMMY!
Marie
Besides from Mommita, Marie took care of us too. She's the reason behind the fantastic group pictures we had.
Thanks so much Marie. You made our trip a lot easier. Seriously.

First time ni Marie sa Calauit!
White Sand Beaches
Me, being a great fan of beaches was really really excited to set my toes on the unfamous beauty of Coron White Sands. Can't explain the feeling as soon I felt the "polvoron" sands on my toes. SERIOUSLY. Lying there in the sands next to the pristine blue water is such an orgasmic feeling. LOL. HAHAHA. The number two spot for the hunt of the beautiful beaches in Philippines is shared by Malcapuya and Bulog Island. I'm saving the number one spot for the HAPPY BEACH.

BANANA ISLAND

MALCAPUYA ISLAND

BULOG ISLAND - I swear I need to be back here with future love. The thought of having the whole island all by yourselves EXCITES ME. HAHA. LOL.
Lake and Lagoons
Our Day 2 was spent roaming around the beautiful lakes and lagoons at Coron Bay. What really caught my attention was the emerald green waters of KAYANGAN LAKE and its surrounding SOLID ROCK FORMATIONS. The Lake was deep so for us non-swimmers we have to wear our lifevest and enjoy swimming around.

Kayangan Lake is said to be the clearest and cleanest lake in the Philippines. Before approaching the lake itself, one must climb up and down a mountain trail. Halfway up the mountain trail, there is a cave and just in front of its certain spot, you can see the most photographed scene in Coron. - Pasyalera.com

We hopped to the Bamboo Raft and played like kids while singing the famous ROW ROW YOUR BOAT.
We even managed to have our numerous jump shots on the raft. FUNNY.

TWIN LAGOON - it was called such since these lagoons were separated by a cliff that has an opening. This opening is only visible during low tide. During high tide, you have to swim deep in order to get to the other lagoon or use the wooden stairs.

ENJOY! LOW TIDE.

BARRACUDA LAKE OPENING. - It has been named as such because a skeleton of big barracuda was found in the lake.
SNORKELING
It was my first time and I enjoyed it. The view from below is AMAZING. I felt like ARIEL, swimming close to fishes.

SIETE PECADOS - My dearest friend, THINNERS. Feeding her babies. LOL

CALAMBOYAN ISLAND
Calauit Safari Park
Calauit Game Preserve and Wildlife Sanctuary (CGPWS) also known as the “Calauit Safari Park” is dubbed as the Philippines’ local version of the African Safari. The island has been declared as a game preserve and wildlife sanctuary by virtue of the Presidential Proclamation No. 1578 which was issued on August 31, 1976 during the Marcos regime. It has a total land area of approximately 3,760 hectares and is situated within Calauit Island in the northwest corner of Busuanga, the main island of the Calamianes, Northern Palawan.

Group Picture with the Giraffes
Another first for me. 4 am of Day 4 was our call time. The cold early morning boat ride was love. We took 4 hours on the open sea with crazy big waves almost hitting our boat. HAHA. I love our boat, it has an IPOD DOCK. Sosyal.

700+ Steps to Mount Tapyas
The trail to the summit was 700+ steps. It was safe since the trail was concrete and there's handrails. You will see an huge steel cross when you reached the peak. We hurriedly walked up to catch a breathtaking sunset and the panoramic view of Coron Town and other surrounding Islands.
